Featured Artwork
My portfolio is composed of artwork from a variety of mediums, from print media to animation. Explore below for an in-depth look at my creative process and for more about each of my featured projects I've worked on.
Jagged
Through experimentation with typography, I created the typeface Jagged, which I then used in a poster and book cover. The typeface was inspired by a shark like pattern, which I included within each letter.

New Girl Title Sequence
I created a title sequence for the TV show New Girl, as it is one of my favorites. In designing the graphics, I wanted to focus on the four main characters as they are the essence of the show. The color palette was inspired by the show's existing logo. I wanted to keep it light and fun, and also weave in clips that would demonstrate each character's lovability and individuality. For the music I chose the song "I Was Made For You" by She&Him as Zooey Deschanel who plays Jess sings it, as an homage to the original theme song.

Maï Animation
This video is in partnership with Eric Zheng, an MSU grad student and saxophonist. He and I worked together to bring to life the composition/poem by Japanese saxophonist and composer Ryo Noda. Eric Zheng performed the composition, and then had me set animation to the tale. I designed the graphics based on the mood of the music and the story of the poem. I worked with Eric Zheng to make sure that the animation was true to the poem. Our collaboration was presented at a virtual concert put on by the Broad Art Museum.
